Applies analytical skills and technical knowledge to solve product and network problems of moderate to high complexity. Provides technology/product training and intellectual property material as required. Acts as focal point for large account network problem resolution. Effectively utilizes moderate to complex lab setups to recreate and solve problems. Submits complete and correct DDTS reports in area of expertise. Impact is major. Interacts across TAC teams and development teams at peer level. Typically reports to Mgr, Technical Support. Typically interfaces with lower level CSE's, VARs, OEMs & end-users & internal engineering departments. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- Required skills/basic qualifications: * 1+ years IP routing experience * 1+ years LAN switching experience * 1+ years working knowledge of networking industry, products and protocols Desired Skills: * Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing * Security product working knowledge (Firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS, AAA) * Working with cross-functional team * Ability to determine problems and deliver known solutions * Ability to work effectively with and provide guidance to other members of the work group * Network Certifications (CCSP, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) Typically requires BS in a technical field (CS/EE preferred)or equivalent plus 2-5 years related experience.
