Hypermedia Systems in Los Angeles is looking for experienced Contract Java
Software Engineers who won't settle for just another dull job. If your idea of

Hypermedia Systems is in downtown Los Angeles catering to highly demanding
online customers in both the American and Asian markets. We custom develop and
host many innovative video chat, rich media, ecommerce and now social
networking products. If you're passionate about building and maintaining
highly advanced web based applications, we have a job for you. If you're an
experienced Java Applications Developer looking to your test your limits and
advance your abilities by working in an advanced, high-production environment
then we really would like to meet you.
Job Description
The position is contract to hire for a Java Developer with four or more years
of experience. The contractor will have a strong application design background
and experience weighing conceptual business requirements and real-world
restrictions to make technical design decisions. Just as important are
non-technical life skills such as the ability to meet deadlines, work with a
team, and communicate clearly both verbally and on paper. Obviously, formidable
OO programming and Java knowledge are essential.
The contractor will be helping to design and optimize global distributed
systems and work with major technology companies on some of their newest and
most ambitious software. We are beta partners with Oracle and Macromedia, and
frequently discuss our design concepts with their engineering teams.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

The Requirements
* Our ideal candidates must posses the following in their skill set:
* Required Skills
* Must have 4 to 6 year experience J2EE distributed system design
* J2EE application server knowledge (JBoss, BEA,Weblogic, Jrun, etc.)
* Data modeling experience
* SQL proficiency
* Verbal and written communication skills
* Self-motivation, passion, and creativity
Other Desirable Skills
J2EE certifications, Custom Tag libraries, JSTL, JUnit Testing tools, J2ME and
i-mode or i-appli technologies, Other Java: JUnit, Jabber, Hibernate, Struts,
Oracle 9i or 10g Database, Squid, Macromedia Flash MX, Macromedia Flash
Communication Servers, Macromedia Flash-Java Remoting, RTMP (Flash) streams,
Other streaming video (MPEG2, MPEG4, etc)
