Position: Manager, Information Security
Location: Plantation, Florida, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-10-08
Responsible for designing and implementing security and compliance programs,
policies, and practices to ensure that IT and Business teams using and
supporting material applications and systems are in compliance and remain in
compliance with regulatory / industry requirements. Identify and track laws and
regulations that might affect the organization's policies. Prepares security
and compliance reports for IT and management and respective teams.
Manage all aspects of system and application security as defined by IT and
Business management. Proficient in AS/400 and Windows NT security
administration functions. Prepare Information Security risk assessments on
distributed and mainframe systems/applications. Participate in System
Development and Vendor related IT project efforts and provide security related
requirements consulting.
Responsible for coordinating the efforts for gathering information for
regulatory and external audits and coordinating the logistics of the auditors
visits. Ensure the maintenance of systems to protect data from unauthorized
users. Identifies and reports security violations to Management
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the the companies Security and Compliance Management
process, together with Local security and compliance team members
Works closely with IT Management and Business / Application Owners on all
production level security related changes to assess risk and determine impact.
Ensures proper archiving and audit trail of all product releases in accordance
with the companies Security and Compliance Policy
Supporting utilities that automate the security and compliance monitoring of
installed or developed software applications for AS/400 and Windows
environments.
Research and report on current Security alerts and monitoring of
configurations.
Establishes a strong working relationship with I/T, work with Change Management
team & Training team to ensure that IT & Business objectives are being
addressed.
Promotes the services of the Systems Assurance Group
Assist in defining / revising Security and Compliance management methodologies
throughout the enterprise

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:
Four-Year Degree Computer Science; 6 years experience as Security Administrator
/ Engineer in technical/professional services environment.
Strong Security experience with Windows NT and AS400 environments
Strong Configuration Management experience including software development and
design, change management, version control, release management, and information
systems management and respective toolsets.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to sell ideas and
frame issues for a wide range of clients
Strong expertise in technical/professional services environment, demonstrating
a comprehensive range of Security and Compliance related skill-sets.
Critical thinking and analytical skills
Requires a mature team orientation perspective with emphasis on business
unit/enterprise success
