Position: Director, Information Security
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States

Director, IT Access Control Security
The Director will establish strategic direction and security direction
designing, architecting, and implementing Access Controls solutions at an
enterprise level. Must demonstrate leadership qualities including the ability
to collaborate and influence various groups, fostering and creating a common
understanding regarding the present and future state of security architecture
across technical and managerial levels.
The Director will develop and present detailed analysis to executive management
on the Access Controls and Identify Management strategy. He/she will work
collaboratively with line of business executives to develop a corporate
strategy to identify high risk projects/processes and develops solutions that
balance security with business functionality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key responsibilities include:
1) coordinate the goals and deliverables to ensure that the overall technical
design and integration of Access Control and Identify Management tools align
with the ratified access administration standards;
2) drive the business and operational requirements into strategic solutions;
3) establish policies, standards, processes and operational procedures to
manage and control risks;
4) recommend technology and access control process solutions driving to a
unified corporate strategy to protect Wachovia's information assets;
5) provide subject matter expertise in all aspects of access control;
6) design and manage education and communication regarding access controls;
7) oversee development of framework and management of transition of ACP program
responsibilities into CIS;
8) develop metrics to support adherence to standards and the effectiveness of
access controls.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree in engineering or computer science discipline
-10+ years senior IT management experience, technology risk management or
information systems, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Strong customer service focus and demonstrated/clear commitment to corporate
goals in past assignments, balancing security requirements and best practices
with business process objectives and requirements
- Strong aptitude for complex problem solving with dynamic leadership
- Experience successfully managing large, complex projects from inception to
implementation
- Strong analytical, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- MBA, requirement documentation,
- Security certifications - CISSP, CISM, or CISA
- Experience with metrics-based, continuous process improvement programs
- Strong vendor relationship skills
- CMM and/or Six Sigma certification
