OVERVIEW:
Relational Security (www.RELSEC.com) is the fastest growing provider of Risk &
Compliance Management software (RSAM). We are interested in recruiting
experienced individuals to become key members of our highly successful team.
POSITION & JOB DESCRIPTION:
Sr. SECURITY CONSULTANT – Risk & Vulnerability Assessment – New
York/Northern NJ
This role will conduct detailed Information Security Risk & Control Assessments
(via interviews, walk thru’s and using vulnerability scanners) of
information systems & related areas at the Client site(s). This person will
analyze the assessment data, prepare reports (along with RSAM reports) and make
recommendations/presentations to senior management. Work will be conducted
across many sites within New York City and surrounding Boroughs. The consultant
will be trained in RSAM methodology & technology.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor’s degree necessary / advanced degree a plus.
* Prior consulting & industry experience (3-5+ yrs)
* 3+ years experience in IT Security Compliance/Risk Assessments/Audits.
* Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization from the end user to
senior management within both the business and IT.
* Prior project management and leadership experience; ability to articulate
best practices.
* General understanding of various information security compliance areas such
as HIPAA, GLBA, PCI, SOX etc.
* CISSP, GSEC, CISA and other relevant (networking & security) certifications a
plus.
* Short-term travel may be required
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
* Security Audits: Wired & Wireless Networks, Servers (Windows/Unix), Desktops
& Applications
* Vulnerability Assessments
* Penetration Testing-Network / Ethical Hacking
* Understanding of Secure Configuration & Management Practices
* Strong Experienced in Vulnerability Scanning & Sniffing technologies (ISS,
NESSUS, NMAP, SNORT)
* Analysis of Enterprise IDS systems/logs
* Operating System, Application & Network Hardening
* Wireless Security
* BCP/DR
* Firewall and router configuration, switches, secure network architecture,
VPNs, etc.
* Windows & UNIX based server platforms
* Experience with Microsoft SQL a plus
PERSONALITY:
* Ability to work with little direction from senior management
* Ability to work as part of a team to deliver in tight timeframes and respond
quickly in an ever-changing environment.
* Detail oriented and diligent in delivery - strong balance of technical and
soft skills
* Professional presence and ability to work with large Clients

$85k to $125k annual salary plus bonus
