Duties :
The Remediation Plan Development Security Consultant is an expert at
identifying and documenting remediation steps for returning standard OS load
systems from non-compliance to compliance with requirements. This role will
create standardized remediation plans (process steps) to return any customer
system from any state of non-compliance with requirements to compliance with
requirements - Note: there may be multiple ways to achieve a certain
remediation, but the method recommended will be a standard Symantec method that
is known to, and has been proven to work in other environments. This role is
responsible for populating a remediation process database that can be mined for
generation of future remediation process steps; this will enable great
remediation process efficiencies to be garnered over time as the database
becomes more extensive.
All remediation plans/processes created will require further validation by
performing suppliers to ensure that the remediation plan does not deleteriously
impact a production environment. Successful candidates will have expertise in
multiple technical areas, and broad industry experience. This role maintains
strong customer interface and communication skills. Using effective oral and
written communication skills, the Remediation Plan Development Consultant must
be able to efficiently and creatively solve security issues by making
insightful and timely decisions to facilitate solution of technical issues that
impact service delivery. Candidate must be skilled at establishing, maintaining
and enhancing relationships with clients, partners and employees.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or
Business Management, or equivalent experience. 5-8 years demonstrated
experience in the consulting services field, with high-tech security experience
desirable. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated oral and
written communication skills. Computer Security (CISSP) desirable.
Experience with all or most of the following:
* Security Strategy and Policy Development
* Experience working in a multi-vendor outsourced environment.
* Security architecture design
* Security experience with enterprise applications and large networks
* Application architecture including designs, reviews and assessments
* Network and system security including designs, reviews and assessments
* Experience with executive presentations and/or corporate seminars
* Background with application security configuration and best practices
* Penetration Testing (Applications and Products)
* Detailed understanding of operating systems security and functionality
requirements
* Knowledge of multiple router, switch, and firewall security and deployment
settings
* Penetration Testing (Network)
* Identity management implementations, directory services or PKI
* Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
* Anti-virus solutions
* Storage solutions
* Background with Security Policy Compliance Management programs
