Technical Support Engineer - Cupertino, CA
We currently have an excellent career opportunity available for a Technical
Support Engineer to join our Customer Support department located in our
Cupertino, CA office.
An ideal candidate will have Minimum of 4 years experience in an equivalent
position.
Responsibilities:
This is a senior level position that will require account management style
support. ArcSight ESM Product runs on Oracle DB with multiple components.
Candidates must be able to deal with enterprise customers on mission critical
projects.
The Technical Support Engineer will provide email and phone technical support.
This position generally interacts directly with the customer/user where the
user has a strong technical background.
The Technical Support Engineer will also work closely with Engineering and QA
teams to facilitate product feedback in order to meet customer service level
commitments, increase customer satisfaction and resolve customer issues.
It is a great opportunity for individuals with Database and Network Security
backgrounds to get up close and personal with customers and really understand
how they use technology to solve business problems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications required:
This position requires at least 4+ years of experience in a senior level
technical support role. This candidate should have strong knowledge of current
firewall, Intrusion Detection System Brands & technologies, and Vulnerability
Network Scanners (Nessus, nmap, Cybercop, ISS Internet Scanner). Should also
have knowledge of NIS, NFS, DNS, ACL, server/client configuration, TCP/IP
networking hardware, protocols, and LAN configuration, knowledge of LAN and WAN
technologies and web security architectures.
Hands-on administration experience preferably on Linux, Solaris, and Windows
platforms. Oracle DBA experience is a plus.
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communications and interpersonal
skills. They must have the ability to be proactive with a positive attitude.
Candidates must have in depth network troubleshooting skills.
Qualifications required:
Second Language such as Chinese or Japanese a plus, not required.
CISSP certification is a plus.
Education:
BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related experience required.
