Position: Database Security Engineer
Location: New York, New York, United States
Type: Contract
Closing Date: 2006-09-15
Our client,a global financial institution , is seeking a Data Security
Administrator on a contract bases to work in their Midtown Manhattan location.
Will be responsible for identifying threats and vulnerabilities to their
Database system. This would include conducting security assessments,
implementing appropriate controls and performing security threat monitoring for
all the database environments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Must have 3-5 years experience with the following:
Experience with hardening various database systems
Working knowledge of ODBC, JDBC, SQL, DBMA Encryption
Experience with internal controls, risk assessments, business process
controls, controls testing.
Demonstrated experience in Windows and UNIX platforms
Understanding of RBAC
Experience with JAVA and SQL
Experience in information systems Audit, Assurance, and/or implementation
preferred.
Industry experience in financial services preferred.
This is a 3-6 months contract assignment in NYC.
Must be a local resident.
