Position: Database Security Architect
Location: New York , New York, United States
Type: Contract
Closing Date: 2006-09-15
Rate 70-80/hr c2c/1099. 3- 6 months NYC Midtown
Job Title: Database Security Administrator
Position Summary
This position is responsible for the identifying the threats and
vulnerabilities to the Database System. This includes conducting security
assessments, implementing appropriate controls and performs security monitoring
for the all database systems environment.
Core Competencies
-Create and maintain database systems security control standards and baselines
-Controls implementation experience with various database application
- Experiences with hardening various database systems
- Working knowledge of ODBC, JDBC, SQL, DBMS Encryption
- Demonstrated experience with internal controls, risks assessments, business
process controls design, controls testing
- Knowledge of database ! busin ess processes
- Knowledge of designing database configurable and procedural controls
- Understanding of the database authorization concept (RBAC)
- Experience with database security assessments
-Understanding segregation of duty concerns with respect to database
application security implementations
-Understanding of SOX, GLBA and FFIEC framework
Requirements:
*Strong Java and SQL experience (3 - 5 years) required.
*Demonstrated experience in software architecture, and development.
*Software development experience on Windows and UNIX platforms.
*Highly motivated team player and a self-starter, with excellent writing and
verbal communication skills.
*Experience in information systems audit, assurance, and/ or implementation
preferred
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Industry experiences in financial services
