Wireless LAN/WAN Engineer
The Wireless Lan/Wan Engineer position is a data engineering position that will
focus on Cisco Airespace as well as LAN / WAN Infrastructure design.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Responsibilities Include:
Creating large scale yet detailed network designs, configurations and
implementation / testing scripts, which adhere to industry and Emerging Health
IT standards and within, project specific timelines.
Development, configuration and execution of network testing scenarios in which
new equipment and/or enhanced features will be validated and showcased.
Interaction with project specific members as well as internal and external
clients.
Technical Skills Required:
· Minimum of 7 years related work experience.
· Strong working knowledge installing, configuring, and
supporting AireSpace and CISCO Wireless LAN Hardware products including ACS and
WCS, including but not limited to Wireless Controllers, Wireless Access Points,
and Wireless Client hardware (PCI, PCMCIA and integrated client hardware).
· Strong working knowledge configuring and troubleshooting WEP,
WPA-PSK using TKIP-MIC, WPA2 using AES and 802.1x port based authentication.
· Experience configuring, and supporting Windows XP Wireless Zero
Config, native supplicant, Funk Odyssey Client for Windows and Funk Odyssey
Client auto installer.
· Experience installing, configuring, and supporting Funk Steel
Belted Radius Server
· Strong working knowledge of Visio and other MS OFFICE related
application
· Strong working knowledge of Layer 2 technologies such as
Spanning Tree, 802.1Q, 802.1AF, MLT, SMLT and Ether channel
· Strong working knowledge of Layer 3 technologies such as IP,
RIP V1/2, VRRP, OSPF, VLSM, Routing table, Static and Default Routes, and IPX
o Strong working knowledge DHCP, DNS, DDNS
· Strong working knowledge of Wan communication technologies such
as Frame Relay, ISDN, Dial UP, VPN, SONET and DWDM
· Strong Working knowledge of Nortel routers, Passport 8600 and
Baystack line of switches
· Working knowledge of Cisco Catalyst switches up to and
including the 6500 series
· Familiarity with cabling specifications (Cat5/5e/6),
Single/multi-mode fiber and GBIC distance limitations
Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer or Engineering related
disciplines and/or comparable related work experience
