Network Engineer
We are looking for a Network Engineer to support, manage, and grow our global
WAN, provide LAN and user support in NYC, and provide support for our global
Cisco VoIP network.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Responsibilities will include:
· Grow and design global network (voice/data) to improve
capacity, efficiency, availability, and security
· Troubleshoot and solve problems with Cisco CallManager, IPCC,
IP phones, and Unity Voicemail at all worldwide locations, including supporting
user issues
· Troubleshoot and solve LAN/WAN problems and network
connectivity issues with remote offices and NY headquarters
· Work hand-in-hand with senior staff in network capacity
planning, disaster recovery, network upgrades, implementing network
applications, and consistent improvement of network security and availability
· Provide clear and detailed documentation on all relevant
projects
· Administer and build Linux servers to host open source
applications
· Be available for after hours support in European, Asian, and
Indian offices
Expected Background
· Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree or advanced
training preferred
· 6+ years of professional networking experience that includes
in-depth knowledge of WAN and LAN architecture and equipment, including various
types of Cisco routers, L3 switches, and Pix Firewalls. Cisco IOS and Pix OS,
access control lists, policy routing, NAT, HSRP, VLANs, and VPNs
· 4+ years experience with Cisco AVVID suite: CallManager, CM
Express, Unity VM, VMO, IPCC CallCenter, SRST, SIP, and all models of Cisco IP
phones
· Experience with Polycom video conferencing systems
· Strong to expert knowledge of the following routing protocols
(EIGRP, BGP, MPLS)
· Experience in configuring and verifying Quality of Service
(QoS) in a WAN environment
· Proven competence in administering and managing Linux servers
in a corporate environment
· Practical and theoretical understanding of the OSI model and
understand how an enterprise network functions within this model
· CCNP Required, CCIE preferred
· Demonstrated ability to simultaneously and successfully handle
multiple, disparate projects while supporting end-users (in person and over the
phone)
· Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
· Must be able to operate effectively and cooperatively within
the IT department to enable the department to function cohesively and to
provide excellent customer service across firm departments
