Marketing Communications Manager 

The marketing communications manager will be responsible for supporting all 
marketing communications efforts. These include: collateral, Website, 
electronic direct mail, tradeshows, seminars, webinars, PR, analysts relations, 
customer references for case studies and press releases and events. This role 
will cover both direct and indirect lead generation programs such as online 
events, advertising, search engine marketing, PR, speaking opportunities, 
customer case studies, collateral, website updates, press releases, etc. S/he 
will work with the team to develop and guide messaging from concept to 
production, develop content and project manage all deliverables. 

Responsibilities:


Manage and execute on lead generation programs to increase leads and enhance 
the quality of leads delivered to the inside sales team and track/report 
results into Salesforce.com CRM system. 
Develop and deliver collateral to support our sales team including brochures, 
data sheets, white papers, sales guides, email templates, PPT, website content, 
customer case studies, etc. 
Plan and deliver on press opportunities along with senior staff and outside PR 
agency. Initiatives include editorial ops, byline story development, trend 
angles, executive visibility angles, industry specific stories and other press 
initiatives. 
Function as the conduit for Sales to see and hear the ArcSight news through 
regular and insightful written and verbal communication with the field 
organization. 



JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------

Required Experience:

The candidate must have at least 7-10 years of marketing communications 
experience and will have a background in enterprise software and possess a 
strong understanding of the security software market and technology. 
Demonstrated record of success in marketing communications and PR for high-tech 
products and services. Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with 
exceptionally strong writing, presentation and verbal communications abilities. 
Must be extremely well organized and detail-oriented with ability to deliver 
the right message at the right time. This person must be a self-starter, highly 
motivated, flexible and energetic. Experience in all channels of marketing 
including website design and production, electronic direct mail, webinars, 
seminars, collateral development, PR and advertising. Requires strong knowledge 
of Microsoft Office products and multi-media communications including 
PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign and PowerPoint. Knowledge of a CRM solution 
such as sales
 force.com and/or database systems a plus. Ability to work across the 
organization at all levels to execute on all marketing communications programs.

Desired Experience:

Candidate will have been in the enterprise software field for 7-10 years with 
some experience in the security arena. 

Education: 

B.S./B.A. degree required, preferably in communications or marketing.
