Position: Security Engineer
Location: Reston, Virginia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-07-24
Designs, develops, or recommends integrated
security system solutions that will ensure proprietary/confidential data and
systems are protected. Provides technical engineering services for the support
of integrated security systems and solutions. Participates with the client in
the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements
into technical designs. Configures and validates secure systems. Tests security
products and systems to detect
security weaknesses.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Daily Responsibilities CISSP/ISSEP certified staff to provide support
that includes, but is not limited to, the following:
* Provide support to System Security Officer (DCMS-SO) who acts as the
primary interface between OCIO and the System PMO
* Assist the System-SO with the creation of policies and procedures in
the following areas:
Access Control, FIPS PUBS/NIST FIPS, Audit and Accountability, C&A
including security assessment, Contingency Planning, Identification and
Authentication, Incident Response, Media Protection, Physical and
Environmental protection, Security Planning, Risk Assessment, System and
Communication Protection
* Assist the System-SO in the development of System related security
standards as these pertain to production and remote systems/sites
* Provide centralized management of all System related security
components such as: DAO VPN Concentrators (Netscreen 25), System
Production (Netscreen 204 Crypto-Cluster), System Production management
console (Netscreen Global Pro), ODA remoter user configurations
(Netscreen Remote)
* Assist in Intrusion Detection Audit activities
* Assist in user tracking and System Use Audit activities
* Manage, on behalf of the System-SO, System Role Administration
* Provide the System SO with ST&E support
* Provide Hosting Security Oversight
* Provide System related Incident Response
* Provide Risk Identification and Remediation
* Support creation and execution of continuing monitoring plans
* Support POA&M activities
