Position: Security Consultant
Location: Basingstoke, , United Kingdom
Type: Permanent F/T

Global blue-chip end user organisation requires and Information security
consultant to work out of their offices in Basingstoke.
The role will see you take an instrumental role in advising on and implementing
IT security technologies and policies in a pan-European hi-tec environment.
You will be a multi-skilled IT security consultant with experience in security
design of messaging, networking and telecommunication solutions.
Your role will involve consulting and advising on Information security
solutions throughout the organisation and when necessary leading the
implementation of technologies as a project manager and in a hands on capacity
where required. The role will predominantly be based in Basingstoke but due to
the nature of the role there will be a requirement to travel to other European
locations on occasion.
You will have several years experience of Internet and corporate security
issues, adept in the design of security architectures and be comfortable
driving forward projects and initiatives within this domain.
This is a high profile position as such you must be comfortable working with
people at all levels including senior management and cross culture.
Experience of as many of the following as possible will be advantageous
All relevant security standards
network security functions' secure authentication
streaming media technologies
systems management and monitoring solutions
virus / spam protection
VPN
IDS / IPS
Forensics / encase
JOB REQUIREMENTS

5 years experiance in information security consulting. Good all round
knowledge of security issues
