Position: Sales Engineer
Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

We are in search of a network managers or existing sales engineers looking for
that next great opportunity. If you have the skills and disposition to be a
senior sales engineer please contact me.
This is a direct hire position you would be working directly for us.
Summary of the position is as follows:
The sales engineer position is primarily responsible for supporting the sales
staff by providing technical sales engineering capabilities to help cultivate
and close new business opportunities. This individual will provide an
engineering focus to help uncover and define the technical and operational
security needs of customer networks.
The right Sales Engineer candidate must have solid business communication
skills, technical expertise in the areas of network engineering and security,
and work well in a high pace team environment. They must also be able to
communicate complicated technical concepts in non technical business language
and be able to produce network design and documentation.
Responsibilities Include:
Ability to understanding and document the needs and infrastructure of customers
Overcoming technical hurdles and fostering awareness of our products and
solutions
The articulation of the companies technical value proposition
Management of relationships with client technical decision makers/influencers
Working with sales executives on account calls, web demos and account planning
Installing, configuring and testing our products at customer's facilities
Working with Engineering and Development teams on product roadmap
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
6 years of hands on network engineering experience
4 years Visio or related network diagramming
2 years of hands on complex Linux engineering experience
4 years of Firewall and IDS/IPS engineering experience
At least one of the following:
- 4 years sales engineering experience
- 6 years IT consulting experience
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
Ability to translate complex technical topics into plain business speak
Sharp professional with a boardroom image
Ability to assess and respond to complex networking and security issues in
real-time
Experienced, confident disposition w/ ability to work under pressures in a team
environment
Optional skills
4 years IT hands on security experience
4 years open source security experience
Microsoft, Cisco or other technical certification
