Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: New York, New York, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Windows Security Analyst
(For a Global Investment Bank located in Midtown, Manhattan)
This position is responsible for the identifying the threats and
vulnerabilities to the Windows Operating System. This includes conducting
security assessments, implementing appropriate controls and performs security
monitoring for the Windows Operating system environment.
Core Competencies
• Create and maintain information security documentation for Windows
Operating system control standards and baselines.
• Create and maintain Windows application security documentation control
standards and baselines.
• Experiences with hardening of the Windows operating systems, conduct
security assessments and provide remediation.
• Working knowledge of AD/LDAP, GPO, WINS, NetBIOS, DNS
• Experiences with validation of Windows service packs, patches and
hot-fixes.
• Experience in windows log analysis and forensics
• Conduct Windows security audits such as performing operating systems,
network and application vulnerability assessments to identify security
weaknesses and provide potential solutions
• Experiences with monitoring and validation of antivirus updates
• Experiences with “war-dialing” assessments
• Experience in Windows programming (C, C++, Administrative scripting) a
plus.
• Experience with Linux or other UNIX operating systems a plus.
• Database knowledge (SQL, mySQL, Oracle etc) a plus.
• Coordinate with both global and local teams on Windows threat
containment, and compromise remediation.
• Attend daily Systems production meetings
JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate for this role will have 4+ years as an information security
professional, an industry certification in information security (ie CISSP,
CISA), 3+ years as a Windows Administrator/Engineer.(MCSE certification a plus)
Ability to follow procedures and instructions precisely
Always exhibit attention to detail
Ability to communicate, either written or verbally in a professional manner
Ability to be a team player, working in a teaming environment
Willingness to provide off-hours on-call support and work off-hours as
necessary
