Quality Assurance Engineer
SPI Dynamics, a leading Atlanta-based Internet security company, is in search
of full-time Quality Assurance Engineers available to begin immediately. SPI
Dynamics provides software and services to help enterprises protect against the
loss of confidential data through the web application layer. SPI Dynamics
makes several products that tests web applications for security at different
points in the development lifecycle. These assessment applications have the
capability of presenting data to an enterprise level reporting and management
product.
The challenge of SPI Dynamics QA positions is that people must be adaptable,
not constrained by conventional QA testing methodologies, and be willing to
accept the challenges of verifying the functionality of what is essentially a
suite of robust automated testing tools targeting security vulnerabilities.
The unique candidate is someone who has an expert quality assurance background,
particularly in testing commercial grade applications, component- and
network-based enterprise applications. This person must be skilled at analyzing
large volumes of complex data. This person must have a solid knowledge of HTTP
and HTTPS.. A background in Internet security is a plus. This person must be
able to build test cases, configure test environments, track defects, and
perform regression testing in an independent environment. The ideal candidate
must thrive on a fast-paced, hard-working development team and have a passion
for keeping up to date on the latest technologies.
Technical Requirements
· Strong skills providing quality assurance in
a Microsoft environment (.NET, Windows 2000, Windows XP, IIS.).
· Must have a good knowledge of HTTP and HTTPS
protocols. (other protocols a plus)
· Experience with XML and SQL Server.
· Experience providing quality assurance on
commercial grade, enterprise applications.
· Experience using the Mercury Interactive test
tools is a plus.
· Internet security background desired (Web
application security a plus).
· Experience configuring web-servers and
windows desktops in real and virtual environments.
· Strong communication skills, both written and
verbal.
· Independent, self-motivated worker requiring
little supervision.
· Strong problem identification and problem
solving skills.
· Development background and coding skills a
significant advantage.
· Degree in computer science, computer
information systems or related field of study desired.
