SQA Manager
Arbor Networks
Ann Arbor, MI
Provide hands-on leadership directing a QA team assessing the overall quality
of our Peakflow SP infrastructure security and intelligent network management
solutions.
Responsibilities
• Lead a team of five to eight QA engineers.
• Maintain project plans and track work efforts to ensure the timely and
successful execution of those plans.
• Participate in software design reviews, develop test plans and test
cases, direct and assist in product testing.
• Develop quality standards and test procedures.
• Provide regular release quality reports to senior management.
• Assess staff performance.
Required Skills
• Experience leading a QA team.
• Experience in a start up or other rapid time-to-market environment.
• Experience testing a commercial software product.
• Experience with current software testing methodologies.
• Experience creating test plans/manual test cases.
• Strong experience doing manual and automated testing.
• Solid knowledge of fundamental networking concepts and protocols (TCP,
UDP, ICMP, IP).
• Significant experience with routing concepts and protocols,
particularly wide area routing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills
• Experience testing complex web applications.
• Experience with Mercury QTP or comparable automated UI test tools.
• Expertise in scripting languages such as Tcl, Python, or Visual Basic.
• Experience using traffic generation and network simulation tools.
• Operational experience at a large ISP.
• Extensive usage of both Unix/Linux and Windows systems.
• Relational database knowledge including SQL and Postgres.
• Web development experience including HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience
• 7+ years of commercial SQA.
• 2+ years of leading a commercial SQA team.
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
or equivalent.
This position is located in our Ann Arbor, Michigan engineering office.
