Regional Sales Manager

Base Salary - 125K
Total Compensation - 250K

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing the geographic 
sales territory by personally developing Major Direct Accounts and managing a 
VAR channel through a regional VAR sales manager.  Responsibilities include 
targeting, closing and developing new business and carrying an individual sales 
contribution quota for a specific geographic region.

Responsibilities

*Personally build a direct channel of end user accounts, concentrating on the 
Fortune 2000, by effectively prospecting, qualifying, and closing accounts
*Manage a VAR channel in their geographic territory, through the regional VAR 
sales manager, ensuring that the right VARS are signed and productive
*Develop effective co-marketing/selling relationships with partner management 
in the territory
*Efficiently work with inside sales to close leads in the territory
*Accurately forecast revenue and manage a sales funnel through the use of the 
Akonix sales methodology
*Effectively communicate market intelligence from prospects/customers back to 
Akonix management including pricing structure, competitive marketing/sales 
strategies, and company products against competition
*Supervise Channel Sales Managers and Sales Systems Engineers in assigned 
territory




JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
*Experience in selling an enterprise software solution is mandatory.
*5+ years of strategic selling experience in solution-based sales, with a 
proven track record in over-achieving quota for companies employing a channel 
based sales model.
*Leadership ability with excellent communication, networking, presentation and 
negotiation skills.
*Self-starter, goal-oriented and ability to work well in a fast-paced 
environment
*Sharp analytical and creative approach to identifying and evaluating potential 
new opportunities
*Proven ability to cold call, build a robust funnel, negotiate and close deals 
in a highly competitive environment
