Position: Manager, Information Security
Location: Chicago, , United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-06-25
This is a corporate management role. Manager will be responsible for one or
more of the following functions: external or internal focus of security issues
relative to the overall program strategy, compliance to internal standards and
regulatory guidelines, program governance and reporting functions, tracking of
executive scorecard and related metrics.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Tracks internal compliance to standards and coordinates external regulatory
changes with law department and program office
Keeps abreast of changing regulatory requirements and topics relative to
information security.
May develop new programs in support of the internal Information Security
strategy from year-to-year.
Will provide support in the areas of routine reporting, executive metrics and
reporting, program office management, and strategic planning
Will be responsible for the development and leadership of the Program Office
Strategic Team
May be involved with Corporate Due Diligence efforts or other projects in
support of new business opportunities.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to Director of Information Security. Interacts with Business
Technology leadership, business leadership, audit personnel, legal
counterparts, compliance, human resource team members, information security
managers and other cross functional colleagues, both internal and external.
Interacts with field operations teams, outside vendors, technology teams, and
business and information security personnel. May interact with various Morgan
Stanley functions to maximize program. Interfaces with outside consultants and
vendors. Interacts with subordinates. Conducts performance appraisals and
leads enterprise level projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE (MINIMUM):
Masters Degree or JD and at least six, typically eight or more years experience
working in program management, preferably at the corporate level or an
equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Requires excellent communication skills, proactive thinking and strategic
planning capability, analytical ability, strong judgment and management skills
and the ability to work effectively with clients and others. Also will require
the ability to draft executive level presentations, track compliance and team
performance metrics.
May be required to attend certification courses.
Rate: $100,000-120,000
