Position: Jr. Security Analyst
Location: Bay Area, California, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-06-18
Job Description:
You will work with our existing brilliant team of security engineers, providing
pre-sales, post sales support to our existing and new clients with all ranges
of security product line in our portfolio i.e. Cisco, Juniper, Check Point,
Websense, Ciphertrust etc.
You will provide first or second tier technical support, incident
response/tracking, and management of escalated support issues. You should have
strong technical, analytical and communications (both written and verbal)
skills. You will implement and maintain different products which we resell. To
be a candidate, you should also have these skills, plus a minimum of two years
of experience with Internet-based network technology, routing, IP address
management or systems and network administration on UNIX and/or Windows NT
systems. A solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols and their functionality is
required. Knowledge or experience with any of the following is desirable:
firewall design and implementation firewalls, intrusion detection systems,
virtual private networks and encryption, authentication, anti-virus solutions,
or vulnerability analysis tools.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidates should also have knowledge and experience in some Combination of the
following technology or product areas:
• Network operating systems: Unix (Solaris & Linux preferred), Windows NT
• Internet/intranet/extranet: network infrastructure development/deployment
• Network architecture and protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SMTP, FTP, NetBIOS
• Routing, IP address management, subnetting: Cisco IOS
• Firewalls: Cisco PIX & Routers, Check Point, Netscreen.
• Network analysis tools and diagnostic experience
• Intrusion detection/vulnerability analysis: ISS Real Secure & Scanners,
Cisco, Axent, nmap
• Cryptographic tools, methods, systems and protocols
• Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCDA, CCSP and CCNP, Check Point
CCSA, CCSE are highly desirable. If not NetworkGuys would pay for the exams.
