Systems Operations Manager
Salary: $145-155K
My client, a major Int’l law firm seeks a Systems Operations Manager to
oversee the firm’s back office systems and network infrastructure.
Job Description:
· To manage the Systems Operations Team globally, providing
direction and support to the team to ensure the efficient and effective
day-to-day operational management of the Firms back office systems (MS Back
office suite of applications & services, iManage Document Management System,
Citrix/Web based services etc.) and network infrastructure (data and voice).
· Management and support of the Firms systems management tools
(HP OpenView, Microsoft Operations Manager)
· Provide direction and support for Systems Operations support
staff worldwide
· Maintain and develop Standard Operational Procedures for all
offices worldwide
· Establish and develop a Network Operations Centre type function
globally to support the systems and infrastructure of the Firm on a 24x7x365
basis
Duties and Accountabilities:
· Report to and take direction from the Global Director, IT
Operations
· Introduce Data warehouse jobs and routines into the operational
environment, automating them with the use of scripts and services where
applicable.
· To ensure that the anti-virus defense systems are properly
maintained and regularly updated.
· Ensure that the IT Systems are designed to deliver the
availability and capacity requirements needed by the business.
· Provide cost effective service improvements to reduce the
frequency and duration of incidents impacting availability.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
Demonstrate a broad knowledge of systems and network management tools and their
evaluation and selection including Windows/Exchange 2003, HP OV, MOM, SMS,
Scripting and SNMP management products.
