The role will require the successful candidate to run individual projects and to act as the portfolio manager for the IAM projects. This is a Bournemouth based role but with the requirement for regular travel to London. The IAM group is embarking on a Global multi-year program to develop and deploy a Role Based Access Control service for the firm. The major projects in the IAM portfolio will be to support this program. Priority projects for 2006 include Workflow and Provisioning, Automated Service Request, Offboarding, Privileged Access, Rule Based Access Control, Certification. Below are the general Program Manager responsibilities and qualifications linked to this role. Responsibilities: Manages multiple projects or single programs of significant complexity Manages programs which may involve participation from and have impact on multiple functions, locations or regions in assigned line of business / technology group Contributes to the development of organizational mission, objectives, and multi-year plans under the supervision of Technology Program Directors Develops program budget, tracks actuals against forecast and remains within departmental guidelines for variance Defines problems / needs and solutions involving substantial latitude in course of action. Responsible for the resolutions of issues Creates and presents program status and financials to senior management May work with line of business managers to define program roadmaps and determine budgetary and resource requirements to support business objectives Organizes project teams and resources by identifying areas of needed expertise and required skills Directs the activities of project teams to ensure quality and timeliness of project completion Manages and tracks progress against program plans. Produces financial reports, status reports, and maintains issues logs Identifies program risks, determines impacts and probability assessments. Implements appropriate mitigation strategies. Escalates risks and exposures to management Resolves program conflicts with affected management, technology peers and business partners Ensures programs are completed according to time and budget, and that objectives conform to line of business’ overall standards and operations objectives and user requirements Establishes and maintains effective relationships with core and extended program team members, stakeholders, peers, and business representatives Influences work of others and facilitates group progress (program work) Provides feedback on the contributions of team members to their administrative managers Provides coaching to team members in support of their professional development Qualifications College degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience PMI certification or equivalent certification preferred Typically 5 - 10 or more years of IT Project / Program Management experience, or relevant business or team leadership Project/strategic planning and business background with in depth understanding of assigned areas of responsibility Experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions and industries to facilitate working with the management team and to assist in the understanding of people focused issues in the workplace.
