Director, Product Management
SUMMARY:
GuardianEdge Technologies is currently seeking a dynamic and hands on Director,
Product Management (DPM) to lead our product management team. The DPM will
direct and develop the company's product marketing and product management
activities. The DPM will work with executives to identify, develop, and
implement effective and productive product management/marketing strategies and
plans. The ideal candidate will have a combination of start-up and large
company experience. This position will report to the SVP Products and Marketing.
RESPONSIBILITES:
-Defines strategic components of product marketing plans, in conjunction with
executive team:
-Directs definition of marketing tactical plans for each product area in
conjunction with managers and business unit directors, ensuring that tactical
plans reflect strategic objectives.
-Ensures that product marketing plans are consistent with company's goals and
objectives.
-Implements established marketing research strategies and plans through Product
Managers.
-Evaluates information on new product ideas for financial and market potential.
-Coordinates activities of various departments to resolve issues that will
affect product's success. This includes being involved in issues such as
positioning the product, designing demos, developing training courses, etc.
-Motivate and lead the product management team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
-10+ years in of product management and related experience with 3+ years of
managing a team.
-Bachelor's in related area. MBA highly desired.
-Excellent knowledge of software product management and development lifecycle.
-Experience assessing customer and market needs and translating these
requirements into cogent Market and Product Requirements Documents that guide
product development is a must.
-Successfully shipped enterprise-grade security software and ideally have a
comprehensive understanding of the current state of the security/encryption
products market.
-Thorough knowledge of long-range and operational planning techniques.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Able to operate as a matrix manager in coordinating people and technical
resources from multiple areas of the company.
