Position: Security Engineer
Location: Fairfax, Virginia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-06-14
ICF International is currently looking for a Security Consultant with
enterprise security architecture and engineering experience to report directly
to the Information Security Solutions Practice Leader.
This individual must thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, demonstrate
“hands on” skills and experience in both security engineering and
security program management. The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree
in information technology (Master’s degree preferred), have a minimum of
7-10 years of industry experience and possess an active TS/SCI clearance.
Federal, Department of Defense, or Intelligence Community experience is a
requirement.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Tasks will include support for developing derived requirements, technical
engineering support, security policy support, security systems engineering,
planning, and security consulting services. Additional tasks may include
technical white papers, briefings, research, and hands on technical support as
required. Specific experience should include:
 7-10 years of system security, security architecture, network
security engineering or secure network system development experience
 Hands-on experience with firewalls, enterprise anti-virus,
enterprise IDS, and WAN ACL management and monitoring
 Knowledge of system engineering processes, particularly
requirements analysis, interface definition, and detailed implementation
planning
 Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science
background
 Strong Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, system, and host security
 Project Management/Team Leadership experience
 Ability to work independently or within a team environment
 Prior experience with vulnerability alert reporting
 Prior experience hardening UNIX and Windows systems
 In depth knowledge of Federal, DoD, and NIST security policy
