Position: Security Consultant
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States
Type: Contract
Closing Date: 2006-06-09
Primary Responsibilities: The Project Manager is assigned responsibility and
accountability for delivering a project according to defined requirements, on
time and within budget.
Responsibilities include:
1. Lead a subproject within a more complex project. 2. Aggressively manage
project scope, cost and schedule. Establish and maintain control of the
project. 3. Ensure all project processes are executed properly. Ensure
compliance with any relevant policies and standards. Ensure all required
deliverables are produced and maintained. Determine other appropriate
deliverables to be produced and maintained for the project. 4. Assign project
work to team members. Clearly assign responsibilities for requirements
management, configuration management, vendor management, estimating, planning
and tracking. 5. Ensure project team has the appropriate resources, skill sets,
training and capacity to perform the project tasks. 6. Ensure that appropriate
project communication takes place, both internally and externally. Ensure
appropriate involvement of affected groups in project activities. Ensure all
groups understand and agree to their project commitments. 7. Closely manage the
establishmen
t and execution of the change control process for any change that impacts
scope, cost or schedule. 8. Monitor project activities, deliverable progress
and status. Track progress to plan and ensure project metrics are captured.
Communicate and escalate if the project cannot track according to project plans
and estimates. 9. Document, manage and mitigate risks. Document and manage
issues to resolution. 10. Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Project Manager
Minimum Requirements:
* Experienced managing IT access control design and implementation projects
* Must have a verifiable history of successful project completions *
Technical Skills: * PMP certification, or equivalent project management
knowledge and experience
* Extensive knowledge of IT security, especially involving access control
concepts, technologies, and terms * Ability to define problems, collect data,
establish facts, draw valid conclusions and solve problems in a timely and
accurate manner * Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word,
PowerPoint, and Visio
* Proficient in Lotus Notes (e-mail and calendars) * Experienced creating and
presenting executive briefings * Able to independently create and update high
quality, executive-level reports and metrics
