Position: Jr. Security Analyst
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States
Type: Contract
Closing Date: 2006-05-31
We're looking for an IT student with a passion for information security for a
3-6 month internship/co-op.
The company that you'll be working for is a young, fresh, smart security
consulting firm, and this opportunity has a lot of potential to grow for the
candidate.
No busy work here -- this position is all hands-on. Projects and
responsibilities will include:
* Penetration testing/ethical hacking
* Research on tools and database security
* Server hardening
* Client support
* Security blogging
This is essentially a blank canvas for someone with the aptitude and can turn
into a full-time position.
You'll also have an experience mentor, teaching you the tricks of the trade,
filling your head with knowledge and giving you a resource to turn to whenever
you need.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
While the exact skills are less important than the passion and desire to learn,
the ideal candidate would have:
* Networking and systems administration experience.
* General information security and penetration testing/ethical hacking
knowledge.
* The ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
both verbally and through writing.
* Coding experience (Perl and Ruby are a plus, but are not required).
* US Citizenship
