Position: Manager, Information Security
Location: Metarie/New Orleans/Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-05-25
Manage IT Security group for long established financial services organization
in their primary data center. Manage a staff of 2. Report to Director over IT
Security, Physical Security and Compliance.
Team is stable, generally long tenure. Salary range to low $100's. Relocation
assistance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science or
related field
.8+ years experience in information security technology and management,
preferable in a financial institution environment using a variety of technology
such as: Check Point, Cisco, Netscreen, LDAP, single sign-on technology
.Certifications in Certified Information Systems and Security Professional
(CISSP) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) required. Certified
Information Systems Auditor (CISA) preferred
.10 years experience conducting security assessments, technology reviews and
application requirements analysis from a security design perspective
.Proven project management and leadership skills and experience with SDLC as it
applies to Information Security
.Seven + years working knowledge of security risk assessments, policy
development and policy enforcement
.Strong managerial and project management skills, including the ability to
interact with a wide range of internal staff members and external
professionals, including regulators, consultants, auditors and legal counsel
.Must possess an understanding of security and control frameworks such as ISO
17799, COBIT, COSO Sarbanes Oxley compliance, Corporate Security and Network
Policies and Procedure
.Expertise with financial services-related regulatory requirements
(Graham-Leach Bliley Act; FCRA; SOX)
.Knowledge of the RACF security product
.Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the
ability to communicate effectively with project and application development
teams, management and clients is a must
.Must have experience at the senior level overseeing information security in a
similarly situated organization and industry
.Must understand information security concepts, protocols, industry best
practices and strategies
.Experience developing policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
.Must have a solid understanding of information technology and information
security practices, including the areas of host security, platform
architecture, network perimeter security, intrusion detection/prevention,
application security modeling, physical security, systems integrity, and
continuity planning
