Position:       Channel / Business Development
Location:       Anywhere, Virginia, United States
Type:           Permanent F/T

Can be located anywhere in DC, VA, MD

This is very much a 'hands on' role and so requires someone who has been 
successful at building a channel business and defined a strategy to launch new 
products. 
Identify development opportunities within the Distributors working with in 
field sales, product managers and relating companys products inside the sales 
organization with the Distribution channel. 
Close institutional alliances with Distributors specialized in OEM 
manufacturers, direct brands locally established and through alliances with 
several other business opportunities in the regular channel.
Introduce and develop demand for Security Solutions in order to reach vertical 
markets. 
Organize and develop bundles inside the Distribution organization.
Control inventory and rotation of products in the Distribution organizations.
Training for distribution sales force and to resellers with focus in Enterprise 
and government business sectors. 
Integration of loyalty programs with Resellers and developing program to 
increase revenue through the channel



JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Requirements : Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Systems Engineering 
and other related fields.

•  3-5 years minimum experience directly selling network and/or 
enterprise-class security application and appliance solutions
•  Solid understanding of technical solution elements typically associated 
with enterprise-class network, application, and database infrastructure sales 
opportunities including network protocols, network topologies, network / 
application traffic engineering, security appliance types and roles, 
application server / database server relationships, etc.
•  Knowledge and appreciation of security compliance standards including 
HIPAA, SOX, GLBA, PCI, CA SB 1386, etc.  Ability to discover how an 
organization intends to address these requirements and be creatively effective 
at mapping product capabilities into meeting those requirements, and 
subsequently driving purchase consideration
•  Ability to convert technical solution attributes to customer value
•  Solid enterprise account base, and proven ability to locate and secure 
new partners, across multiple verticals
QUALIFICATIONS:
• The successful candidate will have a good understanding and track record 
of building/managing the channel for deliverables in technology/software & 
hardware space – especially in high-tech security, storage and data 
management offerings

• Very bright, smart, quick and direct
• This individual will have a demonstrated capability to drive execution 
while working in a highly matrixed and collaborative environment
• Strong negotiating skills and sound diplomatic skills will be well 
suited 
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) 
• Project management experience is critical

• Self-motivated, self-sufficient and a risk-taker
