Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Location: London / Birmingham, , United Kingdom
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-05-14
Penetration Tester (CHECK) required by my London based Global Client. Working
within their dedicated information security team and on client sites you will
assist in the scoping, management and delivery of IT Health Check penetration
tests and related information security assignments. You will have been a CESG
IT Health Check team member) for at least 12 months (CHECK Team Leader (CTL) is
not essential. You will possess a strong technical background in reviewing,
testing, troubleshooting complex IT infrastructure. Applicants must have a good
understanding of risk management principles and their application in a complex
IT infrastructure. Candidates with experience of Cisco PIX, Oracle RDBMS,
COBIT, BS7799 and MPS are preferred.
Salary is between £45,000.00 - £60,000.00 Plus Benefits and is
dependant upon experience.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Planning and managing the delivery of IT Health Check
penetration tests and associated information security project work for clients.
· Undertaking information security assignments and other projects
as required.
· Communicating within Deloitte and with clients, both orally and
in writing.
· Assisting with the management and development of the Deloitte
team and services.
· Striving to exceed key performance indicators for the role.
To be considered for this position meeting the following requirements is
essential:
· Educated to degree level obtaining at least a 2ii equivalent.
· To have been an active CESG IT Health Check (CHECK) Team Member
for at least 12 months.
· HMG SC security clearance vetting.
· Willing to travel and conduct information security and
penetration testing work out of normal office hours as and when required by our
clients.
· Ability to pass a mock penetration testing assessment as part
of the interview process that would demonstrate the candidates ability to
obtain CHECK Team Leader status within 6 months.
Highly desirable technical skills and experience:
· Experience of primarily manual web application penetration
testing and code reviews.
· Oracle RDBMS, Microsoft SQL 2000, Checkpoint Firewall-1 NG/NGX
and Cisco PIX configuration reviews.
· Experience of security testing/reviewing technologies such as
VoIP, Web Services/XML, Windows 2003, Wireless 802.11 and Java.
· Knowledge of a programming and/or scripting language such as C#
and PERL.
· High-level understanding of security governance such as BS7799,
COBIT and MPS.
