The Sr. Director of the Practice Area will be responsible for: a) design, implementation and ongoing review of services to address prevailing and anticipated client business and technology issues; b) responsibility for practice area growth, revenue and profitability; c) quality of information availability service delivery; and d) practice area communication, staff training and career development. The Sr. Director, Practice Area will be required to drive and maintain a practice strategic plan that will include information availability product improvements, product launches, business entry and exit tactics, and business channel relationships. The Sr. Director of the Practice Area will assist in executive-level sales support activities, conduct presentations, and infuse market demands and business needs into product development efforts. Lead practice professionals in a continuous cycle of improvement and innovation, concentrating on maximizing revenue, realized revenue, and utilization of resources in billable engagements. Sustain a practice area recognized as a team of subject matter expert resources capable of delivering on-time, on-budget, high quality consulting services. Manage the Practice Area staff (through Practice Area Managers) to achieve overall utilization goals and personal development plans. Ensure compliance with time accounting, deployment process, and SunGard policies and JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- Educational Requirements: Undergraduate degree in Informational Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Masters Degree CISSP or SANS GIAC Level-Two) or advanced training within an Information availability Training Program such as an accredited Military or other Government Agency Business Requirements: Minimum of 10 years experience in Information availability. Minimum of 5 years direct consulting experience Minimum of 5 years Management experience. Prior work experience in a regulated environment (a plus) Firm understanding of regulations impacting Practice Area Technology Skills: General technical knowledge and/or expertise in multiple areas of information systems technology (e.g. operating systems, networking, databases, client/services computing, PC’s, etc.) Strong understanding of basic computer system and network availability issues. Mastery of information systems availability principles and best practices, general IT concepts, incident response and recovery. Experience in Information Technology strategy planning, information availability program development/administration, availability architecture design and technology assessment.
