Position: Security Researcher
Location: Various, Virginia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-04-30
The X-Force Researcher will be responsible for driving the strategic product
roadmap, analyzing new threats, and providing niche security services to ISS
Federal customers.
• Original vulnerability research, discovery and documentation
• Robust exploit development for newly discovered vulnerabilities
• Researching exploitation methodologies and techniques
• Source code auditing
• Binary reverse engineering
• Analysis of botnet, worm, and malware samples
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive knowledge of exploit development and network exploitation
• Extensive knowledge of penetration testing techniques
• Strong programming skills, C/C++
• Strong x86/SPARC assembly programming
• Strong network programming background
• Extensive experience with debugging tools and disassembly tools, gdb,
dbx, IDA Pro
• Extensive knowledge of Windows fundamentals
• Extensive knowledge of Intel hardware fundamentals
• General knowledge of Sparc hardware fundamentals
• Extensive knowledge of Unix fundamentals
• Strong background in computer/information security, malicious code,
worms, vulnerability analysis
• Extensive software reverse engineering background
• Strong technical writing ability, specialized for computer and
information security sector
• Desire to meet with customers as well as present at technical
conferences
• General operational knowledge of ISS products
