Position: Certification & Accreditation Engineer
Location: DC, Washington, United States

Mid/Sr. Certification and Accreditation Engineer – Federal Government
Contractor
Location: Washington, DC (L’Enfant Plaza)
Start Date: ASAP
Travel: 10-20%
Salary: $55-90K DOE/Full Benefits/Performance Bonus
****MUST HAVE C&A EXPERIENCE!
****Must have at least a Secret Security Clearance (TS Preferred)
Perform full lifecycle certification and accreditation for our Government
customers using NIST 800 series publications.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
· Demonstrated ability to communicate with and distill information from
technical resources during formal and informal meetings
· Exposure to Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and software
development project/technology terminology as it relates to Information
Security/Information Assurance. This includes web-based portals, Single-Sign-On
(SSO) and identification and authentication systems.
Experience with the security aspects of distributed financial systems
Experience with scanning tools and other automated security tools.
· Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills to ensure
efficient and consistent technical documentation
Experience reviewing, and updating systems security documentation to include:
System Security Plans (NIST SP 80-53 Format – all controls)
Security Testing and Evaluation (NIST SP 800-26)
Security Controls Assessment (High/Medium Systems – NIST 800-53 Format)
Continuity Of Operation Plans (The Presidential Decision Directive 67 Format)
Risk Assessments (NIST SP 800-30 Format)
Security Requirements Traceability Matrix (SRTM)
Systems Design and application specification documents
System Security/Vulnerability Scan/Sniffer reports
· 3-10 Years Experience in C&A of Federal Information Systems applying
the NIST Guidelines and Standards. DITSCAP/DIACAP/Etc. experience may also
apply.
· Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in information
systems/security, computer science, management or related field
· US Citizen (REQUIRED)
· Able to obtain a Security Clearance (Not required but highly
recommended)
· Strong MS Office and Adobe products skills
· Excellent writing and oral communication skills
· Self motivated and able to work in an independent manner or as part of
a team
· Able to work in a fast pace deadline driven environment
Security and Project Certifications a PLUS! E.g. CISSP, PMP, CISA, IAM, Etc.
