Responsibilities

Recruiter: Michael Williams
Cyber Security Operational Support Engineer:
Participates in support of operational personnel at WFO locations, conducts
research and "2nd tier" monitoring/analysis of current and emerging cyber
threats directed at corporate network infrastructure from both external and
internal sources. Participates in incident response activities for security
events. Provides information security engineering assistance in support of
various projects.
Under occasional supervision can successfully monitor information security
information portals and keeps abreast of events, research, and developments
within the community. Writes scripts and develops software utilities to
automate security analysis efforts. Analyzes hardware operating systems, and
application software to identify security concerns and develop configuration
guidelines. Understands and documents topologies for intricate security
relationships, and makes security architecture recommendations that will
improve security programs.
Participates in the deployment of significant new concepts or novel approaches
to Operational Cyber Security assessments especially with regard to command and
control networks deployed in critical infrastructure locations. Competent
independent participant in Cyber Security on site assessments for operational
security reviews in Critical Infrastructure networks. Capable of supporting
customer requests with briefings and papers. Developing customer interface and
communication skills (verbal, written).
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Math or similar discipline
with a minimum of 4 years experience preferably in cyber security and/or
network programming with a Linux/Unix background.
Special Requirements/Training:
Knowledge of network engineering concepts, security device use/configuration,
operational security techniques. Experience in on site assessments a plus.
Competent programming skill with Perl, Python or similar scripting languages.
Familiarity with Zero Day exploits and the ability to produce successful
mitigation strategies to detect/counter. Fluency in Unix and Windows based
operating system administration and use.
