Position: Security Architect
Location: Detroit, Michigan, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-04-23
The Security Architect is responsible for the design, planning, and
implementation of security technology and processes throughout the Corporate
computing infrastructure. The Security Architect is also responsible for
setting global security standards for software, hardware and technology tools.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Primary Roles/Responsibilities:
* Planning and deployment of security technology to support Compuware
business activities, including firewalls, host and network intrusion detection
systems, virtual private networks, wireless technology, anti-virus software,
and network operating systems.
* Evaluate new security technologies.
* Evaluate security risk of technologies requested by user community.
* Audit network, server and PC configurations for security policy
compliance.
* Interface with user community.
* Act as a security consultant to other organizations within the
corporation.
* Write computer programs and routines to enhance the security of
infrastructure or product technology.
* Assist with the planning and installation of operational software and
procedures.
* Interface with Workstation Support, Database Administrators, and
Communication Service engineers to provide required user support services.
* Perform additional duties as required.
* Experienced in LAN and WAN networking.
* Extensive years 0f experience managing Netscreen, PIX or Checkpoint
firewall technology.
* Ability to work with technical as well as organizational issues.
* Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
* Strong working knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP,
UDP, ICMP, NetBEUI, etc.).
* Ability to quickly comprehend new technical concepts.
* Ability to travel as required to perform audits.
* Ability to develop a strong relationship with the user community
* Strong working knowledge of IDS
* Experience in setting up both Gateway to Gateway and Client to
Gateway VPNs.
* Experience in making subject matter presentations.
* Strong programming skills in either VBScript, Perl, C, or C++.
