Position:  Forensics Engineer, CIRT Team Lead

Zen Technology is currently seeking security engineers and analysts to design, 
build, and deploy leading edge security solutions in a DoD environment located 
in Falls Church, VA.  Security engineers must be experienced in Windows and 
Linux environments and able to support proprietary and open source security 
systems.  The security team is responsible for firewall engineering, IDS, CIRT, 
vulnerability assessment and monitoring, and forensics investigations in a 
large LAN/MAN/WAN environment.

Current technologies used include Windows 2000/XP/2003, Linux (Redhat ES, 
Gentoo), VmWare (ESX, Server, Workstation), Arcsight, Snort, Bro, IDABench, 
Lancope, ISS, eEye (Retina, REM, and Iris), EnCase Enterprise, Nessus, 
Foundscan, nmap, WiFi Watchdog, Cisco (IOS, Catalyst, PIX, Firewall Feature 
Set, VPN, ASA, IDS, CiscoWorks, ACS), Juniper NetScreen, Sidewinder, EMC 
Clarrion, Big Brother/Hobbit, LTAuditor, Websense, MRTG, and NTOP.  We like to 
use a wide variety of tools so we can pick the best one for the particular 
task.  Tools used will vary depending on your area of concentration.



JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required

Minimum 3-5 years of current information security and assurance experience, 
with specific experience conducting incident response and forensics 
investigations.

CISSP or SANS certification or the ability to complete certification within 180 
days

Eligible for a DoD security clearance.  Must be a US citizen.

Desired

Graduate or undergraduate degrees in computers science, engineering, or 
information security and assurance.

Microsoft, Cisco, and Linux, or other security certifications.

Storage Area Network (SAN) experience and/or certification.

Boilerplate

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and 
must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must
