The work will support the management and operation of the computing, communications, and information management infrastructure within PNNL and the links to external institutions. The successful candidate will work with a team whose mission is to create and maintain a stable, reliable, and adaptable computing and networking environment with a high availability to serve and support the Laboratory's business objectives. The work will be performed with the reliability, efficiency, and customer service orientation required to enable computer users within and outside PNNL to accomplish their missions, and in compliance with all applicable standards, regulations, and practices. General position accountabilities include: -Analysis and specification of functional and operational requirements, -Risk analysis and assessment including remediation planning, development of enterprise threat statement, -Conduct cyber security program effectiveness self-assessment, -Systems operations and management for cyber security scanning and policy verification, -Incident response and reporting, and -Development of cyber security policies and procedures. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- Minimum Requirements Level II: BS + 2-3 years or MS with 0-2 years related experience. Level III: BS + 5-7 years or MS with 3-5 years related experience. A BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related technical field is required; however a Computer Science degree with a security emphasis is preferred. The candidate will be required to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds, including boxes containing equipment and supplies. The incumbent may occasionally be required to use a portable handcart to move equipment between rooms and to remote buildings as required. Because cyber security investigations may be conducted anywhere within PNNL buildings and locations including special purpose laboratories, the incumbent may be required to work in radiation zones, requiring special training and certification. Due to the nature of the information and research projects supported by the PNNL network system, the capability to obtain the minimum of a DOE Q security clearance is required (which requires US Citizenship). Under certain circumstances, to meet unique project plan or operational deadlines, in addition to the normal working schedule, the candidate will be required to perform work in the evening hours or during the weekend in accordance with scheduled and unscheduled events. The candidate will be required to support the deployment and investigation of computer equipment in other geographic locations and must have a valid Washington State Driver's License. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess one or more of the following certifications: *CISSP Certification *SANS Global Incident Analysis Center (GIAC) Certification *Certified Information Systems Auditor *Other certifications such as CNSS Information Security Professional, CNSS Information Systems Security Officer, CNSS Systems Certifier, and CNSS Administration in Information Systems Security.
