Position: Security Consultant
Location: Redmond, Washington, United States
Type: Contract

Covestic's Systems Infrastructure Practice provides consulting services for
foundational infrastructure, applications and management. We are currently
expanding our practice and looking for highly qualified professionals who want
to join a great team.
Security/Systems Engineer - Will be a member of a team responsible for
developing and documenting technical operations standards for Windows-based
systems and applications host hardening and security. This informaiton will be
based on vendor best practices and practical experience. The candidate will be
responsible for data collection (structured interviews), research,
documentation, lab validation and review/edit. Industry certifications (MCSE,
MCSE Security, CISSP, CCSP) and previous writing experience
(operations/procedure manuals, white papers) strongly preferred
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience
' 4+ Years working with Windows Server and Desktop Systems.
' 3+ Years of security and infrastructure hardening
' Expert-level experience with combination of the following products: Windows
Server 2003, Windows XP,
AD and Core Services, RAS, IPSEC, Sharepoint Server, MOM2005, SMS2003, WUS/SUS,
ISA Server 2005, VirtualServer2005, VPN/PPTP.
' Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
' Exceptional writing and documentation skills to include documentation of
interview notes, previously documented and technical data collection and the
ability to translate this collected information into a prescriptive guidance
document.
Desired:
' Prior consulting experience (support, assessment, analysis and design)
' Microsoft and/or security certifications
' Writing experience (IT manuals, whitepapers)
