Covestic's Systems Infrastructure Practice provides consulting services for
foundational infrastructure, applications and management. We are currently
expanding our practice and looking for highly qualified professionals who want
to join a great team.
Patch Management Engineer - Will be responsible for development of a
comprehensive patch management approach for Solaris, HP, Oracle, Microsoft and
Cisco IOS/CatOS based systems within an enterprise level operating environment.
The approach will be developed by analyzing patch management options by
identifying, documenting and incorporating business and technical requirements,
in place tools/technologies and operational procedures via structured
interviews, data collection and observations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Experience - External:
' 5+ Years working with Solaris, HP (Intel, RISC and Alpha based), Oracle, Open
VMS and Microsoft based systems
' 5+ Years working with Oracle DBMS, Apache, HPUX and IIS Web Servers
' 5+ Years of enterprise level engineering/support
' 3+ Years working with Cisco Managed Switches/Routers (IOS/CatOS)
' 3+ Years of patch management operations, technologies and tools for a large
enterprise
' Expert level Patch Management technology and operational skills
' Expert level Systems design skills within large enterprises.
' Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
' Exceptional writing and documentation skills to include documentation of
interview notes, observations and data collection as relevant findings and the
writing of option trade-offs and recommendations in the form of a high-level
approach.
' Excellent ability to discover, document and articulate the following in an
enterprise-class environment; process development, gap analysis, requirements
collection and interaction modeling
' High-degree of knowledge in enterprise change management and configuration
management
Desired:
' Prior consulting experience
' Sun, HP and/or Oracle certifications
' Systems management certifications
'Nice to have' Qualifications:
' Microsoft MCP or MCSE Certifications
' Cisco CCNA, CCNP or CCIE Certifications
