and brought a number of companies to market.
Fortify Software is seeking an extremely qualified software application
security expert to perform Professional Services for Fortify Software's leading
source code analysis products. The purpose of this job requisition is to add an
essential team member to an organization that is completely committed to
winning. If you make the cut, you will be a contributor on a world-class team
building a new category of security technology - this is a ground floor
opportunity in an "old school" Silicon Valley startup.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have very strong security skills with knowledge of how
systems are hacked, techniques used by the world's foremost hackers and how
code must be written to prevent these types of attacks. They will also need in
depth knowledge of software development processes and strong knowledge of
languages including c/c++ and Java. Knowledge of security vulnerabilities, how
they may be exploited and remediation strategies is required. Understanding of
Ant and Make build processes, familiarity with Unix, Linux and Windows
operating systems is essential and knowledge of platforms such as WebLogic,
WebSphere and J2EE are all a plus.
The job entails working closely on site with customers to install, integrate
and tune Fortify products. It involves some project management to both monitor
the integration with the customer and manage enhancement requests with the
Fortify engineering team. But first and foremost, it requires interpreting
Fortify results which in turn requires understanding the customer's entire
application and the associated security issues. Based on the interpretation and
other consultations with the customer, advanced security rules may need to be
written. Being able to confidently communicate complicated concepts is a must.
The position may also require informal training on Fortify products be
administered to the customer.
Because of the highly sensitive nature of this work, a background check is
required. Travel may be required. East Coast and West Coast positions are
available.
Education:
BS/CE OR BS/CS is a MUST with a grad degree a PLUS.
