Directs and coordinates overall contingency planning program in EMEA to manage 
risk, meet regulatory requirements and ensure recoverability from potential 
threats or disruptions. Creates, implements, and communicates business 
resiliency policies, procedures and directives. Recommends changes, strategies 
and needs for the corporation or line of business. Acts as a liaison between 
management and Lines of Business regarding business resiliency issues and 
planning.

Has direct management for EMEA RRM staff and matrix management responsibility 
over multiple LOBs in the EMEA region. Plans and manages complex budgets. Leads 
complex organizational and operational change initiatives that span multiple 
areas. Develops organizational mission, objectives, milestones and plans 
without supervision. Clearly and routinely communicates long-term vision. 
Defuses complex interpersonal issues effectively and manages customer 
expectations. Leads and manages cross-divisional programs. Has great latitude 
in decision-making.

Partners with Senior Management in EMEA to set strategic direction, fully 
implement, communicate and maintain a comprehensive Resiliency Program.  
Establishes formal strategy and benchmarks to measure and depict company 
progress, opportunities for ongoing plan enhancement, efficiency and 
preparedness.  
Establishes a standard risk methodology to measure financial and customer 
exposure and derive Recovery Times associated with LOB to perform 
business/system functions.  
Leads LOB in the development and maintenance of recovery plans that mitigate 
resiliency risk in compliance with corporate policy and regulatory guidelines. 
Oversees and executes where agreed; site tests or cross-business resiliency 
related projects.  
Monitors Resiliency Program including changes in bank services and market 
practices to ensure resiliency recovery requirements are being achieved.  
Manages the EMEA RRM staff, operating budget and daily direction of activities, 
objective setting, performance appraisals, training and career planning.
Develops templates for and reviews the LOB’s semi-annual status 
reports/metrics on key aspects of the continuity program (e.g. exercise 
results, open issues, resiliency strategies, etc.).
Acts as the EMEA region spokesperson and representative on resiliency program 
matters, to senior management and external regulators.
Participates in periodic meetings of the Resiliency Risk Management Board and 
Forum, EMEA IRM Forum. 
Establishes and maintains an EMEA Crisis Management Program. Activates and 
leads crisis management calls when authorized by EMEA Threat Assessment Team.
Benchmarks against and incorporates relevant best practices from LOB’s and 
peer institutions.




JOB REQUIREMENTS

College degree in related technical or business area, specialized training, 
and/or equivalent work experience.
12+ years of resiliency and/or risk management.
Certification is desirable (e.g. Certified Business Continuity Professional or 
other related certification programs).
