Position:       Sales Representative
Location:       ALEXANDRIA, Virginia, United States
Type:           Permanent F/T

The Senior Sales Executive:

Is responsible for achieving defined sales/revenue targets in a designated 
territory and/or assigned accounts by developing new customer accounts and 
managing/leveraging existing accounts. Acts as the primary contact for the 
client and ensure on-going customer satisfaction through effective account 
management and timely follow-up. 
This position reports to the VP Sales.

Main Responsibilities:

Develop and execute an effective territory plan to acquire new accounts and/or 
leverage our presence in existing accounts; 
Generate new leads from a variety of sources including personal 
contacts/rolodex, research on target accounts in your territory and leads from 
webinars/tradeshows 
Work closely with assigned telemarketing rep to define target accounts, qualify 
prospects and close new business 
Work effectively with territory SE in effectively addressing prospects and 
customers requirements 
Responsible for developing and maintaining major account plans for key accounts 
and presenting them to the executive team on a regular basis 
Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of Company products/services, sales 
objectives and strategies, pricing and delivery policies and practices to be 
able to professional present our solutions and offerings and respond to 
prospect and customer requests for information and proposals; 
Participates in developing strategies to increase/retain market penetration and 
sales volume; 
Maintains all contacts and account activities in the corporate sales force 
automation system; 
Maintains sales and call records and prepares reports for manager as required; 
Provides market intelligence to Marketing based on feedback from existing and 
potential clients; 
Professionally and ethically represents Company to prospects, customers and the 
community in which they live. 



JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education and Experience:

7+ years experience as a quota carrying individual contributor. 
University degree in Business, specializing in Marketing/Sales, or equivalent 

Specialized Skills:

Demonstrated track record of consistently overachieving revenue targets and 
acquiring new customers 
Effective leadership, communication and presentation skills 
Demonstrated skills in managing effective customer relations 
Awareness of target markets and product offerings of competitors 
Demonstrated professionalism and high integrity with customers
