Description:

Information Security & Privacy (IS&P) Office supports the  businesses by 
assisting them in understanding that the information created, processed, and 
used by one of the company’s most valuable assets.  With the competitive 
nature of businesses, along with the significant value of the resources that it 
manages, businesses must take the necessary steps to protect these assets.  A 
compromise of these information assets could severely impact clients, 
constitute a breach of laws and regulations, and negatively affect the 
reputation and revenues of the company.  In addition, effectively securing 
information is essential to ensuring the privacy of client information.  The 
corporate initiative for protecting these assets looks primarily towards 
people, processes and technologies.  The Information Security Policy will help 
the businesses address these areas and provide the basis for an effective 
information security and privacy program.

The role of the Marketing and Communication Analyst is to assist the IS&P 
Awareness Communication and Education (ACE) Vice President in designing and 
implementing marketing and programs.  This role includes the responsibility for 
identifying and leading innovative opportunities to commercialize IS&P programs 
and initiatives within the firm by leveraging internal communications channels. 
This role will have a matrix reporting into the Head of the PMO, Corporate 
Programs and ACE departments and provide communication support on an as needed 
basis.

The candidate will oversee those aspects of communications that promote IS&P in 
venues including both electronic and print media.  The person will be 
responsible for managing the design and implementation of the overall marketing 
strategy and plan for the IS&P organization, including suggesting marketing 
opportunities and implementation of these, and managing the quality, content 
and design of all ACE communications. 

The incumbent to the role will be working with and influencing the IS&P staff 
and Management Team: Privacy, Threat Management, Corporate Programs, Project 
Management Office and the IS&P Officers, as well as with ML Technologists and 
ML Business staff to:

        Identify opportunities to leverage IS&P ACE across the enterprise. 
        Develop, implement, and maintain effective top-down and bottom-up 
communication mechanisms across the enterprise and the IS&P organization.
        Develop, implement and maintain effective collaboration mechanisms 
across the enterprise to facilitate information sharing within the technology 
and business functions.
        Act as a change agent to influence all ML employees, consultants, and 
third party vendors to understand information security and privacy with a 
global / enterprise-wide view. 
        Act as an ACE project manager to effectively manage the pipeline of ACE 
projects and operational activities. 
        Work closely with the IS&P PMO and provide ACE metrics, project and 
operational activities updates.

Tasks include:
        Writing and editing collateral materials, presentations, and web 
content;
        Proofreading and reviewing print and electronic materials including 
internal newsletters, web pages, and marketing materials such as brochures and 
flyers;
        Overseeing and developing satisfaction surveys;
        Managing internal communications and aligning these activities with 
IS&P programs and messages; 
        Writing IS&P communication deliverables pertaining to security and 
privacy initiatives.
        Assisting in developing and implementing a global IS&P training 
strategy and tactical action plan geared to IS&P professionals. 
        Coordinating and leading ACE events including facilitation of IS&P 
events.
        Providing weekly status reports on on-going ACE projects, ACE 
operational activities and assist in developing project charters and plans on 
an as needed basis.
        Assisting in developing and implementing ACE metrics. 
        Tracking ACE project and operational expenses and providing required 
updates to the PMO.



JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Required Skills and Experience:

        Experience and/or knowledge working with web services.

        Willingness to take on new, complex, and challenging projects. 
        Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or equivalent work 
experience.
        Project Management and/or Consulting Experience.
        Analytical skills.
