*Job Description:*
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our highly talented Product
Developemnt team in Columbia, Maryland. We are looking for individuals with
experience in developing software products, within a fast paced, commercial
product development environment.
The Software Engineer I will be expected to:
-Work with the open source community to troubleshoot and isolate snort bugs.
-Build and release snort builds to the community.
-Work with snort developers to fix problems and perform integration testing
before delivering code to QA.
-Interact with Sourcefire development and Operations.
Individuals must work well in a team environment, be highly motivated, and
willing to learn new skills. Experience in a fast paced startup environment is
highly desired.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

*Requirements:*
-B.S. in science or computer science or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years development or IT experience.
-Ability to deal with people and technical problems.
In addition, the following skills are desired:
-Bash scripting experience a plus.
-Familiarity with Unix make systems a plus
-Intrusion Detection or firewall field experience a plus.
- 1-3 years work experience in QA or support a plus
