Our client is a well regarded consulting firm comprised of a team of respected 
security experts. Their clients include many F500 companies. They are expanding 
now and looking to add a Senior Security Consultant to their organization.

Candidate will lead the delivery of large enterprise client projects with 
primary responsibility for the technical security assessment of enterprise 
information systems infrastructures at the network, host and application level. 
 Candidate will assess security risks in a business context, define security 
requirements, and make recommendations that fit the client's business and 
corporate culture.  Senior Consultants assist clients with identifying and 
exploiting security weaknesses, evaluating coutermeasures, security 
benchmarking, conducting analysis to determine potential security impacts to 
business and recommending security solutions.  

In addition, the candidate is responsible for independently identifying, 
assessing and responding to client's security related issues and challenges as 
they arise.  Must have a broad knowledge of current IT security related trends 
and be able to proactively identify potential security issues in order to 
advise and consult with clients on prevention, monitoring and mitigation 
strategies.  Senior Consultants are expected to develop and maintain trusted 
client relationships and assist in the sales process.  Candidates will also aid 
in promoting client via publishing articles, tools, presentations, and press 
releases.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:  

Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or 
related discipline required.  CISSP or CCNA or GIAC certifications preferred.

Experience and Skills:

- 8+ years of direct technical security experience with multiple computer 
platforms, operating systems, software products, web-enabled applications, 
network protocols and system architecture.
- Knowledge of security architecture methodologies, industry best practices and 
generally accepted information security principles.
- Prior consulting or professional services experience preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical reasoning abilities.  Intellectual 
curiosity and creativity a must.
- Ability to work both independently and on teams, demonstrate leadership on 
assessment and mentor less experienced team members.
- Ability to work effectively in an unstructured environment.
- Demonstrated advanced experience in conducting vulnerability assessments and 
penetration testing.
- Demonstrated experience in developing custom approaches to assessments and 
penetration testing.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (W2k, Unix/Linux), systems 
administration and networking.
- Experience in designing security products or integrating security services 
(authentication, authorization, encryption, integrity, and non-repudiation) 
into systems and/or applications.
- Require a solid, in-depth understanding of all Internet and Web protocols.
- Experience with evaluating, designing and implementing intrusion detection 
architectures using products from major network equipment vendors such as 
Cisco, ISS Axent and Enterasys preferably at enterprise-wide levels.
- Programming experience with UNIX shell scripts, Perl, and C a benefit.
- Demonstrated skills in technically assessing against and addressing complex 
privacy and regulatory issues and compliance efforts.
- Advanced written, verbal communication and presentation skills.  Ability to 
formulate and communicate highly technical and complex security concepts to 
both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and effective manner.

Other Requirements:

Travel:  Ability to travel 50%.
