Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Senior Security Systems Engineer
Diamond Data System is currently seeking a Senior Security Systems Engineer to
serve as a lead member of the Systems Information Assurance team for a large
Federal project. This candidate will utilize system analysis methods,
techniques, and procedures to design and develop secure computer systems
according specified user requirements. Will be responsible for the
development of overall security solutions focusing on all aspects of hardware,
software, telecommunications, and networks. A strong focus on architecture for
system interoperability, portability, scalability, and legacy system support
and transition.
Key Skills and Experience are as follows:
• System security design and engineering experience
• DoD program documentation experience
• Ability to engineer/design information security solutions
• Ability to conduct Information Systems and Security trade studies
• Ability to evaluate software, hardware, and network requirements
• Ability to evaluate products against customer and DOD requirements
• Ability to communicate with government customer technical, management,
and acquisition personnel
• Ability to develop technical presentations and lead meetings both
internal and external (customers)
• Ability to analyze IT and IS requirements and designs and then develop
technical documentation
• Knowledge of biometrics, smart cards, and digital certificates is
extremely desirable
• Extensive knowledge of DoD encryption techniques
• Extensive knowledge of DoD product validation requirements and models
• Required Education/Experience: Experience with large DOD IT
acquisition programs.
• At least a BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or
other technical discipline or equivalent experience dealing with the design and
rollout of Secure Information Systems.
• Familiarity with DITSCAP
• At least 3+ years experience in Information Security Technology on
Large Enterprise Wide Information systems, Large Legacy Systems Migration,
Enterprise Application Integration, COTS Integration, and Component Frameworks
• Knowledge of completing prescribed SSAA format
• Extensive knowledge of DOD security requirements and documentation is
required
• Extensive knowledge of security testing process, procedures and
execution
• Extensive knowledge of security design and architecture development and
review
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
• Must be a US citizen
