Position: Security Engineer

The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a/an Engineer, Technical
Security for our IT/Info Systems Department. Below please find a brief
description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function
successfully in this position.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform Security Incident Response duties to include incident detection,
incident coordination, analysis including forensics, documentation, remediation
coordination, and recovery coordination. This includes participation in a 24x7
on-call rotation and occasional travel; Perform risk/vulnerability analysis of
new and existing systems infrastructure and applications; Assist in the
development of technical security policy, standards and baselines in order to
govern operating practices within various information security subject areas
[i.e., operating system security, use of encryption, network security; Engineer
security solutions to protect a variety of users, applications, platforms and
computing environments
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrated knowledge of information security principles, standards, practices
and subject areas; Proficiency with various network, host and application
security protocols, tools and auditing packages.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two
years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience.

is: Regularly required to talk and hear; Frequently required to sit, stand and

Finally, the employee generally works in an indoor office environment; overtime
maybe required.
