Position: Security Engineer
Location: Morrisville, North Carolina, United States
Type: Permanent P/T

Summary Job Description:
The Network Engineer will be primarily responsible for supporting the overall
network infrastructure that includes Windows Servers, Local Area Network, Cisco
Firewalls and Switches. Also, responsible for monitoring network security and
performance, improving the overall network security by deploying cost effective
hardware/software solutions.
Responsibilities:
Install and administer Windows 2003, 2000, and NT servers.
Monitor the network integrity, security, and performance.
Perform software upgrades and scheduled security patch upgrades.
Work with internal and external customers in resolving network related issues.
Devise data backup plans, implement them, and validate them.
Conduct systems analysis and develop hardware/software recommendations to keep
the systems current with changing technologies.
Hardware purchasing through established sources.
Provide desktop and notebook PC installation and support when necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:
Must have at least 2-3 years of professional industry experience as a network
engineer to include implementation and designing of network infrastructures.
Must have industry-based development experience and solid knowledge in packet
level details of Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP, and ICMP protocols, layer 7 TCP/IP
application protocols (Telnet, SSH, HTTP, FTP, STFP, TFTP), libpcap based
sniffers (TCPDUMP, Ethereal, net monitor, network general, etc.).
Must have strong knowledge of Cisco Network devices (PIX, Switches, Routers,
Security Appliances) and Microsoft servers.
Must have at least 2-3 years of experience in administering Email Outlook
Exchange Server, Active Directory, IIS Web Servers, SQL Database Servers, NAS
Storage Servers, and Veritas Backup Servers.
Must be a good team player with a proven ability in problem-analysis and
solving.
Must enjoy working with end users, have the desire to provide excellent
customer service, have strong verbal and written communication skills, and have
excellent time management skills.
Experience in desktop and notebook PC installation and support
Bachelor degree or its equivalent in Computer Engineering or related field.
No travel required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in setting up/implementing data backup and infrastructure
Disaster Recovery procedures.
Prior experience in security-focused software products (vulnerability
assessment systems, traffic sniffers, port scanners, etc.)
Prior experience in deploying: Host/Network Intrusion Detection/Prevention
Systems, Web and Gateway Filtering Solutions, VPN Solutions, and Encrypted Data
Exchange Solutions (PGP, Secure Emails, etc.).
Prefer experience in Linux, Solaris and other flavors of Unix Operating System.
CISSP, CCNP, MCSE a plus.

network backbone with Cat 6 cabling. Primary network devices include: Cisco PIX
515E UR Firewalls, Cisco Layer 3 Switches, Cisco ACS S 3.3 for Windows, Cat 6
cabling.
MS Exchange Server 2003, IIS Web Servers, Active Directory, SQL Database
Servers, NAS Storage Servers, Veritas Backup Server, Windows based Print Servers

Q) Are the working hours flexible?
Yes, the employee is expected to follow mutually agreed upon work hours. The
network engineer is expected to perform scheduled services at the least
disruptive hours and be available on unexpected emergencies.

Yes, we have 401K-plan program available for all the eligible employees; we
