Position: Sales Engineer
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States

Calyptix Security is a growing Internet security company that provides cutting
edge integrated network security appliances to protect organizations and
consumers from known and unknown Internet attacks. We are seeking a security
appliance field/sales engineer who will be responsible for support at client
sites, including installations, upgrades, troubleshooting and after-sales
services.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

A successful applicant must have the following essential skills and experience:
• A minimum of two years hands-on network and end-user support at a
variety of client sites;
• The ability to perform network security appliance installations and
upgrades in active and often critical client environments;
• Systems integration, remote access, backup, email services;
• Virus, spyware, and spam removal;
• Firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, routers and third party system
knowledge;
• The ability to quickly isolate, diagnose and resolve common network
problems;
• Hands-on experience with TCP/IP, network and Internet connectivity,
email services, and network components (IIS, DNS, service packs,
administration, etc.);
• The ability to maintain a professional appearance;
• A reliable team player with strong interpersonal skills and a customer
centric value system;
• Experience with UNIX-based platforms (e.g. Linux and preferably *BSD);
• Familiarity with open source software and technologies;
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment;
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance;
• Successful candidates will have direct contact with clients and will
require patience, diplomacy, and excellent verbal and written communication
skills at all times;
• A 2 or 4 year college degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Science or equivalent experience;
• Industrial certifications such as CISSP, SANS GIAC or equivalent
experience.
