Actual Job Title: Senior Product Marketing Manager

Summary: 
A hands-on Senior Product Marketing Manager is needed to manage product 
marketing activities for Websense products and services. The Senior Product 
Marketing Manager must be adept at understanding and promoting customer and 
market needs and evangelizing the product line both internally and externally. 

Job Duties:
Responsibilities include the development of marketing and sales tools to help 
position and market the product internally and externally, and working closely 
with Marcom in the development of marketing collateral and industry events. The 
Senior Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for the go-to-market 
strategy and working closely with product management and Marcom for the 
execution of product launches. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will work 
with sales and other related departments to ensure a referencable customer base 
and industry analyst exposure. 

Specific Responsibilities include:
•  Creation of marketing materials targeted for Websense products and 
partner integrations, including whitepapers, presentations and other related 
documents.
•  Development of marketing and sales tools for internal and external use 
including ROI tools, product demos, and other related tools.
•  Definition, development, and dissemination of product messages, value 
propositions, and positioning.
•  Management of product launch activities worldwide.
•  Management of cross-functional teams and resources necessary to ensure 
the successful and timely definition, release, and ongoing enhancement of 
marketing materials.
•  Support of all product level marketing activities including: customer 
and sales events, tradeshows and conferences, product collateral content.
•  Other product marketing responsibilities as assigned. 



JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications: 
•  4-5 years of enterprise software product marketing experience required.
•  Experience with enterprise software product marketing is required. 
Network or internet related security products (e.g. firewalls etc.) are a plus. 
•  Completion of at least one full product launch (from concept through 
delivery and training) required.
•  Superior strategic thinking and analytical skills 
•  Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and writing skills 
•  Demonstrated ability to influence across organizational boundaries
•  Willing to travel up to 25% of the time
•  MBA preferred
